1:58PM - BB! Memphis Meeting

Tommorrow, Friday June 12th at 3:30 PM, Bash Back! Memphis will be holding
the first of many small roundtable discussions at Otherlands Coffee (641
South Cooper St) to determine our capability and the logistics that would
go into hosting the 2010 BB! Convergence in Memphis.

This will be an open meeting, so anyone is welcome to come.

Hey kids,

Well, the end of summer is here at last.  As we watch the seasons change there is something so very important to remember about that fickle mistress Change:

While something's do in fact change, some things always remain the same.  Like FreakEngine!

FreakEngine will always feature the best in Memphis improvisational theater.  FreakEngine will always be the best party of the month.  FreakEngine will always guarantee the most laughter that your five bucks can allow.

So come on out to the October FreakEngine Festivities being held this Friday night, October 5th.  It's at midnight (as always) at TheatreWorks on Overton Square.  Admission is the low, low price of only $5, and remember to get there early if you want a seat.

Heck, bring your friends and share the funny.  It'll be a night to remember, I promise.

Hey kids,

This is just your friendly monthly reminder that FreakEngine is this Friday, September 7th.

This month is our Back-to-School show and we're gonna be featuring all new games, danger zones and, as always, the best improv comedy this side of the Pacific.

FreakEngine had been chugging along for ten years now. And in celebration, we're putting on a show of your favorites: your favorite games, your favorite characters, your favorite prizes and, of course, your favorite ... MouseTraps.

We've got special guests lined up for this very special show, brought to you by our very own Larry Clark.

We're also, in honor of the 10th Anniversary, going to be selling our T-shirts for only $10.

Auditions for FreakEngine, Memphis' longest running improv variety show take place Tuesday, October 17th (that's tonight).

Anyone is welcome to audition. No previous theater experience is needed. All you need is a willingness to work hard, a sense of humor and free Tuesday nights.

Auditions will be held at TheatreWorks on Overton Square at 7:30 pm.

5:59AM - We're looking for a few good men and women

FreakEngine is holding open auditions to join the funniest people in the southeast.

Auditions will be held Tuesday, October 17th at TheatreWorks, 2085 Monore, from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

No previous theater experience is necessary, just a willingness to work hard and make people laugh.  To be considered for entry into the troupe, you must be available Tuesday nights for practices.

If you're interested, please contact us at memphisfreakengine at hotmail.com, and let us know you're coming.  If you can't make it this Tuesday, let us know and we'll see what considerations can be made.

FreakEngine is Memphis' longest running improvisational theater show and the troupe recently won Best Shortform Troupe at the SouthEastern Comedy Arts Festival.

Hey kids,

Well, it's that back-to-school time again. I know it sucks and, honestly I wouldn't even bring it up, except I have some relief for all you students struggling to wake up and go to small engine repair class.

That's right it's . . . 

FreakEngine

This friday, September 1st, at midnight at TheatreWorks on Overton Square, the most spectacular explosion of entertainment will occur. We have an awesome band, hilarious improv comedy, featuring some of M-town's newest, up-and-coming talent, and perhaps even some toe mangling MouseTraps for your amusement.

Admission is still only $5, so for get that "What I Did This Summer" essay, and bring your virgin friends to the biggest back-to-school party this year.

If you believe in individual liberty and personal responsibility, a free-market economy of abundance and prosperity, and a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade, the Libertarian Party may be for you.

This month's guest speaker will be Howie Morgan, campaign manager for Mark White who is running for the Ninth Congressional District of Tennessee (vacated by Harold Ford Jr.)

The Shelby County Libertarian Party is hosting a conservative independent, Emory “Bo” Heyward, at its May meeting on Monday May 22nd at 6:30pm at the Pancho’s restaurant at 717 N. White Station Rd in Memphis.

As you may, or may not, know, Mr. Heyward is running for the US Senate in Tennessee.

This meeting is open to the public.
